The Cabinet Makers Association is pleased to
announce a top-rated educational series geared for cabinet and
woodworking business owners, officers and managers attending IWF
in Atlanta. The IWF2008 CMA Educational Workshop starts at 6:15
p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 20, 2008,
in room A410 at the show.
This special event is
being offered free to registered IWF2008 attendees. Advance registration is required as the
workshop is limited to the first 150 registered professionals.
Simply complete the registration form on this page and click
"Submit" on the bottom of the form. You will receive a
confirmation email within 72 hours.
Attendees do not need to be CMA
members. However, attendees MUST be registered for IWF2008 and
have their entry badge with them to gain access to the building.
The presenter and moderator of this live, interactive discussion is Sean Benetin,
President of the Cabinet Makers Association. Here are the
highlights from a recent press release announcing the workshop:
"Following on the heels of the best attended
seminar at the big show in Las Vegas last summer provided by the
Cabinet Makers Association, this dynamic high-end residential
shop owner will outline the nuts and bolts of building,
maintaining and increasing the profitability of any small to mid
sized woodworking business. He will discuss nearly every facet
of the business and offer real world, time tested solutions to
better understand and improve your business’ performance. From
sales and marketing to client appointments, materials and
vendors, processes, installations and employees, this workshop
will deliver information and concrete plans you can use in your
business immediately. And all this material will be explained
not in theory, but in a useable manner by a successful shop
owner who is in the trenches every single day!
In addition, the CMA will provide one of its
signature live round table discussions as part of this
workshop. A round table discussion is where anyone in
attendance can pose a question or provide an answer to the
topics being discussed. With many other CMA member shops
represented in the audience, those attending this workshop will
have the opportunity to see how our members interact to help
each other learn and grow through a round table discussion.
While we are scheduled to start promptly at 6:15 p.m., we will
continue this informal workshop in room A410 until the earlier
of when we are finished or 11:00 p.m. when the hall closes for
the night.
As a member of the CMA, you would also be
eligible to attend a number of other members-only activities and
events while at IWF, including our annual all day bus tour to
area vendors and shops (unfortunately the bus tour sold out in
just a few days), our annual banquet and round table dinner as
well as many other informal networking and educational
opportunities both in Atlanta and across the country throughout
the year. Plus, as a special incentive just for new and
existing CMA members in attendance at IWF, we are offering the
chance to win a new Castle pocket hole machine, courtesy of
Castle Inc."
